Why choose Eco Route Advisory
Operators won’t buy battery electric trucks until there are chargers, and chargers won’t be built until there are trucks. We help freight operators, charge point operators and government break that deadlock with independent evidence that their investments are operationally and financially viable. The result is faster uptake of battery electric trucks and a coordinated roll-out of the infrastructure they need. Our services follow the three stages of infrastructure planning:
-
Where
Route modelling to determine range and state of charge (SoC) for battery electric trucks, and diesel savings from powered trailers, based on driving conditions, topography and vehicle characteristics. Test feasibility in a low-cost digital environment before you invest.
-
When
Rolling out a comprehensive network of charging sites takes time. Early investment in strategic sites empowers operators to make the switch to heavy battery electric vehicles. Eco Route Advisory streamlines the strategic site selection process using a bespoke machine learning algorithm tailored to systematically evaluate hundreds or thousands of candidate sites to select high priority locations and determine roll-out order for your network.
-
At What Scale
Delivering answers to the number of charging bays and power requirements to minimise operational friction via Discrete Event Simulation. The simulator digitally tests out different vehicle uptake and charging network roll-out scenarios to evaluate vehicle throughput and charging behaviour at each site.
We’re in this with you for the long haul. Our analysis adds value at every stage of vehicle procurement, infrastructure development and program planning. Together we can accelerate the uptake of battery electric trucks and the strategic development of a comprehensive network of charging stations.
About the founder
Marceline Overduin
Marceline is a pragmatic data-driven engineer whose collaborative working style delivers considered and implementable solutions for stakeholders in the transport, energy, and infrastructure sectors. She pioneered the development of EcoRoute, the tool that determines vehicle-specific range within minutes based on driving conditions, topography, and vehicle characteristics.
She gets energised by navigating the technical complexities of decarbonising Australia’s road-freight fleet. Her primary motivation is helping industry get into gear to take up the next generation of zero-emission trucks.
Values
Our values of integrity, transparency, equity, and collaboration guide everything we do:
