When does it launch?
EcoRoute launches in June 2027, at the end of the 2026–27 financial year. Everyone who registers will hear from us before then with details of their free credits.
What is a credit?
One credit is one simulation of one route. Results are delivered in a slidepack you can share with your team, board or funding body. The first 150 people to register get five free credits each.
What can I model?
Battery electric trucks and powered trailers on any route in Australia. The simulation accounts for driving conditions, topography and vehicle characteristics, and reports range, state of charge, charging needs and diesel savings.
How accurate is it?
Across 10 trips, EcoRoute’s modelled energy consumption (kWh) matched real-world measurements by 95% on average. Each route was modelled first, then driven, then the results were compared, so the model wasn’t fitted to trips after the fact.
What is a powered trailer?
A trailer with its own battery and electric drive axle. It helps push the combination along, so the prime mover burns less diesel. It’s a way to cut fuel use before you switch to battery electric trucks.
Who is it for?
Freight operators, charge point operators, government and policy makers, and vehicle and trailer manufacturers: anyone who needs evidence that electric trucks and charging infrastructure will work in practice.
Does registering cost anything?
No. Registering is free, and the first 150 people to register get five free EcoRoute credits each.
